Activits stage Street Play on Social Security in Bhubaneswar

Streetplay-bhubaneswarBhubaneswar, Oct 7: In a bid to sensitize the unorganized workers a street play was organized by city based voluntary organization named Center for Child and Women Development (CCWD) with the support of   Action aid   & European commission at Lower PMG square here Tuesday.
The objective of the street play was to promote the social security measures    for the development   of unorganized workers said Sadasiv Swain Secretary of CCWD. The street play focused on rights and dignity of laborer. As many as 300 people saw the show which mesmerized .  Among others programme manager of Action aid Ghasiram panda, Shyama sundar pal, Arjun Digal graced the occasion. Lastly, Santap Kumar Panda proposed a warm vote of thanks to all. Under the leadership of Ranjan Nayak Director the team of SANJOG performed very nicely.
Notable that, Most of the labourer of the city were working in unorganized sector. They have no such ideas about minimum wages, social measurers& laws.  Due to lack of awareness and interest they fail their dignity and rights. Nearly Bhubaneswar city paints 436 slums and 3 lakhs population were dependent upon informal economy.
