World Heart Day 2015 observed at KIMS, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sep 30: World Heart Day was observed in Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) and Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital (PBMH) on Tuesday. On this occasion an awareness rally was organized in which students, faculty members, staffs of KIMS participated.

The rally started from Patia Big Bazar Square and reached in KIMS medical college. The theme of this year’s Heart Day is ‘Heart Healthy Environment’. Dr. S. B. Ogale, Principal, KIMS; Dr. B. C. Das, Director, KIMS; Mr. Panchanan Parida, Dr. Panchanan Sahoo, HoD, Department of Cardiology; Dr. Banbihari Mishra, Cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Anupam Jena, Cardiologist; Dr. Ashok Badamali, Cardiac Anesthetist, Dr. Nimai Ch. Parida, Cardiac Surgeon; and Mr. S. K. Satapathy, DGM participated in the awareness rally.

A free heart check up camp was also organized in PBMH. Dr. R. N. Samanta, CEO, KIMS inaugurated the camp.
