Indo-UAE Tie builds up, as UAE begins Probe into Dawood’s Assets

* Authorities at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have launched an independent probe into the properties held by Dawood Ibrahim and his syndicate. The list was provided by Ajit Doval during PM Modi’s visit to UAE earlier this month.

* UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan will lead a delegation comprising senior officials and industrialists to India for the 11th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting on Technical and Economic Cooperation to be held in New Delhi on September 2-3. Terrorism, Dawood, Space Technology, Energy and Infrastructure will be on the agenda.
