Nepal’s PM K.P. Sharma Oli termed his visit to India as successful

Oli-modiKathmandu, Feb 27: Nepalese Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has termed his visit to India as successful, saying it had helped improve relations with the southern neighbour. Addressing a meeting in Siddharthanagar on Saturday, Oli termed his six-day India visit fruitful, The HImalayan Times reported.

“Earlier the relations between the two neighbours had soured during the Madhes agitation but my visit has helped improve the relations between the two countries,” he said.

“As we have no misunderstandings now, our focus will be on implementing the seven-point deal,” Oli added.

Oli also urged the agitating Madhes-based political parties to join the government. “As we have delivered the constitution, now is the time to focus on development,” he said.

“So, I call on the agitating leaders and Nepali Congress to join the government and participate in the nation building process.”

Also, seeking an end to rumours being spread against the constitution, Oli clarified that any demand against the national interests would not be addressed.

He also reiterated that the government would end load-shedding within two years. (IANS)
