OROP: Compromise Formula Done, Announcement within 48 Hours

Reports suggest that Government has agreed to accept 2014 slab for pension assessment instead of 2011. Most Army Veterans too agreed to shed their demand for annual review in pension and accepted government proposal of pension revision in every three years.

However, Major General Satbir Singh has stuck to the demand of pension revision in two years, which is not acceptable to the government. The government wanted five-year revision formula, but later agreed to three-year revision.

Other Army Veterans are not happy with Satbir Singh and asked him to be reasonable. As the OROP needs to be announced before the notification of Bihar Polls, the government may announce it within 48 hours.
