Tharoor gets PM Modi’s Bouquet after Sonia Gandhi’s Brickbat

Just a day after he was strongly rebuked and reprimanded by Congress President Sonia Gandhi for leaking Congress meeting details, former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor was praised by Narendra Modi for presenting India’s case strongly at the Oxford debate and tearing into the British rule. Modi praised Tharoor at a convention of MPs. “Tharoor has done a great job. His views on British rule at the Oxford debate, has gone viral on YouTube. In his speech, the emotion of an Indian is reflected,” said the PM. Tharoor, who was sitting in the audience, reciprocated with a smile.
