60th Senior Police Officers’ Conference kick-starts in Bhubaneswar
ONI Bureau: The 60th Senior Police Officers’ Conference of Odisha Police was inaugurated by the Odisha Director General of Police (DG) RP Sharma at the Police Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
While inaugurate the Conference, Sharma has given more stress on law and Order, Crime scenario of the State.
The conference that will continue for three days will be attended by Superintendents of Police of all Districts, DCsP, Commandants of all Armed Police Battalions, Range IsGP, DIsGP, Under Training IPS Officers, Senior Officers of various Police Establishments as well as the Home Guards, Fire Services and Civil Defence Organisation, State Vigilance, Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation, Prison Organisation and OHRC will participate in the Conference.
During the three days Conference, there will be deliberations on professional Policing subjects like Left Wing Extremism, Capacity Building of Police Stations, counselling centre with e-office, Model thana, People friendly Policing, Ethical Behaviour in Policing, Crime Control Measures, Critical Incident Management, Effective use of Social Media, Resource Management in Special Armed Police etc.
Issues related to State Vigilance, Home Guards and Fire Services, Prisons Organisation and Odisha Police Housing & Welfare Corporation will also be discussed.
