A special train from Odisha was flagged off on Monday. The train is named after Chilika Lagoon in Odisha. Naval Commander Chilka, Commodore Rituraj Sahu flagged off the ‘Chilka Special Train’ at Chilika Railway Station.
In its first journey, the Chilka Special train headed for Delhi carrying around 1100 trainee sailors. This was on the successful completion of their six months training at the Naval Base of Chilka.
