Baijayant rejects Egg Attack on Naveen; recalls his Ordeal

ONI Bureau: While disapproving the ‘egg attack’ on CM Naveen Patnaik at Bhograi, Balasore, which did not touch him, Kendrapara MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda recalled a similar attack on him at Mahanga a few months ago.

“I don’t know what was the woman’s complaint and why she hurled eggs at the CM. But, I am not in favour of physical protests. It could have hurt the CM in the eye. I wish she could have protested differently”, said Baijayant Panda.

“I was also attacked last year by some BJD members with eggs, stones and bricks. But, no one was arrested for 4 months,” he added.

Later, Baijayant Panda tweeted again to condemn the attack on the woman by BJD workers, calling it unfortunate. He also wondered how she was assaulted in police custody.
