Bhasha Andolan Activists hold Black Flag March defying Heavy Rain

Bhasha AndolanThe Bhasha Andolan in Odisha has entered Day 51 on Thursday protesting the failure of  Odisha Government  to add the penalty provision in Orissa Official Language Act 1954.

Eminent Journalist Pradyumna Satpathy, Radha Mohan Sahu from Bolo Gada, Niranjan Sahoo of Banki and Sabyasachi Satapathy were took out the silent ‘Black Flag March’ on Thursday defying heavy rain.

The march began at 5 PM outside the Assembly and culminated at Madhu Babu’s statue near Governor’s House square.

The marchers were greeted by other members of Bhasha Andolan, including Subhas Chandra Pattanayak, Pabitra Maharatha, Tusarkanta Satpathy, Deba Prasad Das, Ajay Jena, Sanjib Patri, Arjun Samantray, Kuna Sethi, Asish Behera, Sabyasachi Satapathy, Nabakishor Pradhan, Benudhara Harichandan, Ashok Behera, Tapam Swain, Kamal lochan Swain, Biranchi Maharana, Pankaj Lochan Swain, Jai Prakash  Mishra, Abdul Malam and Subhash ch. Pradhan took part in the silent black flag march.
