Bijepur by-poll: CM Naveen Patnaik to hit campaign trail on Feb 20, 21

ONI Bureau:  BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will hit the campaign trail for the ensuing by-poll to the Bijepur assembly constituency on Tuesday and Wednesday. Patnaik will campaign for BJD candidate Rita Sahu.

On his two-day trip to the poll-bound Bijepur, Patnaik will address a rally at Barpali, soon after his arrival on February 20 while on February 21 Naveen will campaign in Bijepur and Gaisilat blocks. He will spend the night at the Bargarh Circuit House during Bijepur Bypoll campaign to prevent unnecessary burden on state exchequer, informed Panchayati Raj Minister Pradeep Maharathy.

Likewise, Union Minister Smriti Irani will hit the campaign trail on Wednesday for BJP candidate Ashok Panigarhi.

However, BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra demanding video recording of CM ‘s visit to Bargarh to ensure free and fair election in Bijepur as suspecting transfer of money in CM’s helicopter. In this regard, Sambit Patra-led BJP delegation met the EC in New Delhi.
