BJD effects major reshuffle in Biju Mahila Janata Dal

ONI Bureau: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has effected a major reshuffle in its Women’s Wing today in a bid to strenthen its women workers across the State. Lopamudra Baxipatra resigned as the State Women’s Commission (SCW) Chairperson to be appointed as the Working President of Biju Mahila Janata Dal. She later revealed that she wanted to devote more time to party’s organisational work.

MLA Pramila Mallick paved the way for Dr. Minati Behera, who took over as the BJD Mahila Morcha President. Minati stepped down as the Odisha Commissioner for Persons With Disabilities. Pramila Mallick has been appointed as the Vice President of BJD and Advisor to Biju Mahila Janata Dal.

Shreemayee Sweta Singha Mishra and Sulochana Das have also been appointed as the Working Presidents of BMJD. Sulata Deo became the General Secretary while Elina Dash has been elevated as the Secretary.
