BJD Govt failed to fulfill aspirations of People: Dharmendra

ONI Bureau: Union P&NG and SD&E Minister Dharmendra Pradhan came down heavily on the BJD Government in Odisha, saying it has miserably failed to fulfil the aspirations of people despite having the massive mandate for the last 17 years.

“The BJD Government has disappointed the Odia people in all areas, including primary education, healthcare, employment, drinking water and agriculture. As there was no alternative, BJD continued to have a free run. However, things have changed now. Youth, women, farmers as well as tribals and dalits are coming together to dethrone this government,” said Dharmendra.

“No political party has exclusive right to undertake the mission of making Odisha No. 1. As BJD Government has failed on every front, it’s the responsibility of BJP to garner public opinion as the opposition party”, he added.

Dharmendra took a dig at Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik for announcing a slew of measures to protect and promote Odia language, calling it an ‘eyewash’. “Naveen’s commitment towards Odia language would be known if he calls a special session of Odisha Assembly in the 1st week of January and list out all the 20 points of Cabinet decision without seeing the paper,” he added.
