BJP to observe September 14 as ‘Lajja Diwas’ in Odisha

Odisha BJP unit will observe September 14 as ‘Lajja Diwas’ in connection with the death of expelled Home Guard Sandeep Hati, the state unit of the saffron party declared today.

BJP demanded a judicial inquiry into the death of Home Guard Sandip Hati, who attempted self immolation before the residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on September 2, protesting his dismissal from job.

Sandip, 45, died at the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack on Sunday after the severe burn injuries.
