BJP’s 12-hr bandh demanding NAC Status to Rasol hits normal life

ONI Bureau:  Normal life was paralysed at Rasol in Dhenkanal district on Monday due to a 12-hour dawn-to-dusk bandh called by the district unit of BJP seeking Notified Area Council (NAC) status for the town.

A large number of commuters were seen stranded as the protesters blocked Cuttack-Sambalpur route.

While schools, colleges, other educational institutions, shops and establishments remained closed in the area, movement of vehicular traffic also remained disrupted in many places.

Meantime, security arrangements have been tightened in the locality to avoid any untoward incident.
