Bride lodges FIR against greedy Groom for Dowry demand

ONI Bureau:  A young woman of Odapada in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Wednesday lodged an FIR against the groom and his family as the groom cancelled the wedding due to unfulfillment of his dowry demand on the day of her marriage.

According to the FIR, the groom’s family demanded Rs 1 crore in dowry as the groom is a software engineer in America.

As per her allegation, her family had already given Rs 20 lakh to the boy’s family for the marriage but the father of the groom demanded more.

It is worth mentioning that the bride is also a software engineer by profession, working in Bengaluru.
