CESU Employees’ strike enters Day 7; Management Silent

ONI Bureau: The Employees of the Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha (CESU) under the banner of Odisha State Electricity Board (OSEB) Ministerial Employees Union are in protest near IDCO Tower in Bhubaneswar demanding a hike in grade pay from Rs 2,530 to Rs 2,830.

The cease-work agitation of the CESU staff entered day seven today but the management is still not concerned about it.

The agitators have started an indefinite hunger strike on Thursday to press for their demand. Manjulata Nanda, a CESU employee have been hospitalised, some other members are in deteriorated health conditions, sources have confirmed.
