CM Naveen Patnaik unveils Odisha State Senior Citizens Policy

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced the Odisha State Senior Citizens Policy-2016 on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons.

The Senior Citizens Policy will give emphasis to health care, security, financial security, physical security, welfare, housing and emotional needs of the senior citizens.

The State Government has decided to create a fund of Rs 7.4 crore initially and set up old age home in every district across the State.

Chief Minister also unveiled the website of the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD).
