Congress candidate Gouri Das wins CMC by-poll

Congress candidate Gouri Das got victorious win in by-poll for Ward no-21 of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) for the post of Corporator. Whereas the BJD candidate Bhanumati Mazumdar won the by-poll for Ward No 12 of the Umerkote Municipal Corporation.

The by-poll election was held yesterday. As many as 6,604 eligible voters casts their votes at all six polling booths. Results of the poll were announced on Saturday morning.

Gouri Das defeated BJD candidate Tulasi Behera by 217 votes.
