Coronavirus cases rise in Odisha (numbers and update)

With 141 recent COVID-19 positive cases, Odisha maintains to post higher growth pace than the national average for the second consecutive day.

• The daily growth rate of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the State now stands at 6.7 per cent.
• The national average growth rate of confirmed COVID-19 cases stands at 4.28 per cent.
• On 1st June, Odisha’s surge rate was 8 per cent opposed to India’s 4.82 per cent.
• The fatality rate in Odisha remains at a rate of 0.31 per cent against the national rate of 2.81 per cent.

With the new cases the total number of affected persons swelled to 2245. While the first 1000 cases were recorded in 66 days in the State that is struggling with the influx of migrants, the next 1200 cases were reported in just 13 days.
