Daughter of former CM Nabakrushna Choudhury joins Bhasha Andolan

Bhasa AndolanaThe Bhasha Andolan in Odisha, has entered Day 38 today, but the government remains unconcerned to the demand of ‘Governance of Odisha in Odia Language’. There has been no response to the movement till date.

On the 37th day of Bhasha Andolan yesterday, daughter of Former Chief Minister Nabakrushna Choudhury & Social Worker Krishna Mohanty, Late Choudhury’s grandson Nachiketa Desai, Journalist Arun Kumar Panda and Social Worker Tapan Swain joined the ‘silent black flag march’.

Bhasa Andolana 37Though there were heavy rains the capital city, Bhasha Andolan protestors didn’t give in. They started the silent march from Odisha Assembly and concluded it at Madhu Babu’s statue near Governor’s House Square.

Several other members and supporters of Bhasha Andolan, including  Subhas Chandra Pattanayak, Pradyumna Satpathy, Pabitra Maharatha, Tusarkanta Satpathy, Deba Prasad Das, Ashwini Kumar Swain, Tirtha Kumar Sahu, Rakesh Das, Sudhir Kumar Rout, Sumanta Patnaik, Biranchi Moharana, Subhas Chandra Pradhan, Sudarsan Dixit, Ashok Jagdev, Biyaj Samantray, Raj Sekhar Laha, Siba Prasad Patnaik, Kali Prasad Samantray, Bibekananda Das, Gurupadma Kar, Dibakar Balabantray, Baikunth Nayak and Bhakti Bhushan Mohapatra, Byomkesh Tripathy, Akhyay sahu, Dinabandhu Pati, Tusharkanti Jena, Tapan Mohanty, Samar Goswamy took part in the silent black flag march.
