Dist Level Book Fairs to be held every year with focus on Odia Language

ONI Bureau:  As per the Cabinet nod on December last year, the State Government has decided to organize District level book fairs every year for the promotion & preservation of Odia language.

Public Libraries also to be established in every district with focus on odia language, literature as well as odia translations.

A preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi at the State Secretariat in Bhubaneswar today where it was also decided that Odisha Secretariat Workflow Automation System (OSWAS) software will be adopted for official use of odia language.
