Dutee Chand bags 2nd Gold in Taiwan Open Athletic Championships

Odisha Sprinter Dutee Chand won her second Gold medal by winning the women’s 200m race at the Taiwan Open Athletics Championships.

Dutee clocked 23.52 secs in the 200m to win the gold while Srabani Nanda (Odisha) and HM Jyothi (Anshra Pradesh) picked up the silver and bronze in 23.55 secs and 23.92 secs respectively.

Dutee had won a gold on Thursday, in the women’s 100m with 11.50 secs, but failed to qualify for Rio Olympics because the Olympics qualifying score stands at 11.32 seconds.

At the 20th Federation Cup National Senior Athletics Championship -2016 in New Delhi last month, Dutee Chand won Gold medal in the women’s 100m event.
