Fire safety notice issued to Malls, Hotels, Jewellery Shops in Bhubaneswar

ONI Bureau:  Following rise of fire mishaps in Odisha, the State Fire Services Department on Wednesday issued notices to around 26 business establishments in Bhubaneswar for violating fire safety norms.

After conducting the fire safety inspection at more than 40 business establishments, 26 business establishments were got the notice to ensure adequate fire safety measures within two months, failing which action would be taken against them according to fire prevention and fire safety rules of 2017, the officials said.

Reportedly, the Shopping malls, Jewellery showrooms, hotels and other establishments have been issued notices over fire safety lapse.

Earlier, some parts of various hotels including The New Marion, Hotel Suryansh and Hotel Seetal were sealed.
