Former Congress MP Madhab Sardar joins BJD

Naveen-BJD-BijuBhubaneswar, Dec 30: Former Congress Member of Parliament (MP) from Keonjhar Madhab Sardar joined ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday with his supporters.

Sardar announced his decision to join BJD after meeting party chief and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence here. He was accompanied by Rural Development Minister Badri Narayan Patra and his supporters.

On the occasion other Congress leaders Debasis Padhy, Binayak Rao, Patrana Sethi, Tapan Kumar Sethi and Prasanna Kumar Sethi joined ruling BJD.

After joining the party, Sardar praised Chief Minister and party Chief Naveen Patnaik for his leadership qualities. He said he was inspired by the strong leadership of Patnaik.

Speaking to media, Patra said that party would be strengthening in Keonjhar as former Congress MP joined BJD.
