Huge amount of Gutkha sacks seized from Govt bus in Bhubaneswar

ONI Bureau:  The Commercial Tax department on Tuesday seized a huge amount of gutkha sacks from an ‘Odisha State Road Transport Corporation’ (OSRTC) bus during a raid near Commercial Tax Office in Bhubaneswar.

The officials seized around 80-90 sacks containing gutkha packets that were being illegally transported to Cuttack to evade GST taxes.

The bus was on its way to Cuttack from Berhampur.

While no arrests have been made so far, the driver and conductor of the bus have been detained for interrogation.
