Kalinganagar Tragedy completes 12 Years today

ONI Bureau:  Kalinganagar tragedy, where 14 tribals protesting land acquisition for a steel plant of the TATA Group in Jajpur district were killed by police, completed 12 years today.

Hundreds of tribals including people belonging to Bisthapan Birodhi Jan Manch (BBJM) hold a huge rally and observed Saheed Divas for the martyrs those who had lost their lives in police firing during the construction of boundary wall for the plant site on January 2, 2006.

The district administration has tightened security in the area to maintain law and order.
