Kunduli victim’s kin moves Supreme Court seeking CBI probe

ONI Bureau:  In a new twist to Kunduli case, the brother of the victim Sasmita on Sunday filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged gang rape and suicide of his sister.

He has reportedly filed petition against the State Forensic Science Laboratory for allegedly giving false reports on the gang rape. Several police officials, district administration and doctors treating the victim were also named in the petition.

In this regard, earlier he had filed a case at the Koraput Sessions Court .

Former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Giridhar Gamang also requested Odisha Governor SC Jamir to direct State government to hand over the case to CBI.
