Let’s show Unity to fight Chhattisgarh: Bhrugu tells Naveen

In a significant development, the Odisha BJP has put the ball in CM Naveen Patnaik’s court, by asking him to fight against the alleged menace of Chhattisgarh on Mahanadi River by taking all political parties into confidence and taking a clear stand on this issue.

BJP’s State Unit General Secretary, Bhrugu Baxipatra has termed Dr. Raman Singh’s statement on Mahanadi row as “unfortunate” and urged the Odisha CM to counter the former by taking the help of centre instead of resorting to agitation tactics.

“The CM must take all political parties in the state into confidence. We are with him in the larger interest of the state,” he said.

The BJD has responded to the statement, saying the BJP must send a delegation to Centre in this regards and stop the projects on Mahanadi River. The party further revealed that all information related to Chhattisgarh projects are being collected and the state may approach the Supreme Court if needed.
