Naveen Govt to prepare New Telecom Policy to boost Infrstructure

Odisha government has taken steps for the growth of telecom industry in the state with the objectives of boosting up the telecom infrastructure and connectivity.

It came to limelight after a meeting held at the presence of the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi regarding the proposed draft and existing regulations relating to telecom sector.

Telecom infrastructure as a utility service and will charge rational and supportive premiums/rents to telecom companies particularly in remote areas and It’ll decrease the use of land, says Padhi.

Odisha has grown up to 69.38 percent in the available data but still need to boost it up to the national average with around 45 per cent tele-density in rural areas.
