No power interruption during summer in Odisha:

State Energy Secretary Hemant Sharma while Attending a State Level preparedness meeting chaired by Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said that measures will be taken to guarantee uninterrupted power supply in the cities and villages despite an escalation in the number of consumers, area coverage and quantum of electricity consumption.

Aditya Prasad Padhi further asked the health and family welfare department to operationalize a special room in all the state-run hospitals for treatment of sun-stroke and heat-related diseases.

It was decided by the officials to keep all required instruments, ice packs, medicines, fans and air cooling systems etc in the sun-stroke management quarters of the hospitals.
