Odia Student Death: Vizag College denies ragging claims

ONI Bureau:  The death of a class 12 student of Sri Chaitanya Junior College in Marikavalasa, who died on Saturday after ragging by his hostel inmates, led to protest against the college administration in Visakhapatnam.

Shreyash Kesharwani (16), a native of Sambalpur, was allegedly brutally thrashed and beaten up by his hostel inmates, succumbed to injuries on Saturday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bhubaneswar.

However, Vizag College denied ragging as the reason behind the death of odia student.

In this regard,  a team of Sambalpur police reached at the spot and started investigation in association with the Visakhapatnam police.
