Odisha seeks 3 more Cities in Smart City Mission

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi interacting with the Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, through videoconferencing during the launch of the projects, Smart City Mission in Pune on Saturday.

The Governor of Maharashtra, Shri C. Vidyasagar Rao, the Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis and other dignitaries are also present on the occasion.

Odisha Chief Minister today urged Prime Minister to consider the inclusion of three major cities such as Cuttack, Sambalpur and Berhampur of Odisha in the Smart City Mission.

The Chief Minister said that it would submit the final project plan for Rourkela Smart City by end of June.
