Orissa Official Language Act 1954 to get Cabinet nod today

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will chair the State Cabinet meeting on Friday afternoon at the State Secretariat.

The State government is likely to clear the amendment of the Orissa Official Language Act 1954 in the meeting.

However,  the Bhasha Andolan activists decided to resume their ‘Black Flag March’ protest from August 16 as the state government failed to frame the penalty provision in Orissa Official Language Act 1954.
