Pallavi Durua wins Adi Rani 2018 (Kalinga Tribal Queen) Crown

ONI Bureau: Pallavi Durua from Koraput district, was crowned as the first Tribal Queen at the Adi Rani Kalinga Tribal Queen competition held at Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

While, Panchami Majhi of Titlagarh won the first runners up title, Rashmirekha Hansdah of Mayurbhanj received the second runners-up title respectively.

Over 150 participants from 25 states were participated in the competition among which as many as 20 contestants took part in the final round of the competition.

The participants from different parts of the country represent their tribe with dressed up in their traditional attire and walked the ramp. They were asked a range of different questions regarding nature & tribal culture.

Padmashree Awardee Tulasi Munda was the brand ambassador for the competition. Odisha Women & Child Development Minister Prafulla Samal, Odisha DGP Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sharma, Rakesh Prabhakar Patil (IAS), Rotary DG Ajay Agarwal, kishor chandra dwivedi, Ninod Panda, Bhagabat tripatthy, Sanjay Das, Dr. Chidatmika Khatua, Sanand Meher, Ambika Maharana, Prabhat Prusty, Rajanikant Mishhra, Founder and Chairman of Ashram Gandhi Puri in Bali, Agus Indra Udayana were attended the event.
