Section 144 imposed at Essar Steel Plant in Paradip

ONI Bureau: The Jagatsinghpur district administration has imposed Section 144 near Essar Steel plant at Paradip following clashes between two labour union groups of the plant today.

Tension erupted near Essar Steel plant site after plant authority granted recognition to one of the labour unions.

Meantime, security arrangements have been tightened outside the plant to avoid any untoward incident.

The Paradip Additional District Magistrate has also called for a discussion with the plant authority and agitating labour groups at 11 am today to find a permanent solution to the problem.
