Panchayat Polls 2017: 1st Phase Polling stands at 71%

Voting in the first phase of Odisha Panchayat Polls ended today with a high voter turnout. According to Election Commission officials, 71 per cent voting was recorded in the State.

While Subarnapur recorded highest 84.3% voting, Bolangir recorded lowest at 60%.

Till last report came, BJD won Malkangiri Zone, Cuttack Sadar Zone no 6 and 3 Zilla Parishad seats while BJP won Cuttack Sadar ward number 7 Zilla Parishad seat.

BJD also won all two Zones of Lamtaput in Koraput district and two Zones out of three in Jeypore.
