Potato price likely to touch Rs 40 per kg in Odisha

ONI Bureau: Odisha Government on Sunday said prices of potato is likely to touch Rs 30-40 per kg in coming three-four months.

The State Govt will create a buffer stock of potatoes as prices are likely to increase due to crop damage in different parts of the country, the Odisha Food and Civil Supplies Minister Surya Narayan Patra informed.

As per report, the State’s potato requirement is about 10 lakh tonne per annum however its annual production is about 2 lakh tonne.
