‘Rape-Murder’ Of Minor Girl In Jatni

High tension ran in Jatni on Friday over a rape and murder of a minor at Mundia Sahi, Gopabandhu Nagar as annoyed locals obstructed the traffic near Jatni police station by burning tyres. The locals demanded strict and severe action against the culprit.
According to sources in the police, late on Thursday, the minor, a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered by her neighbour. Locals managed to track the accused soon after the incident and thrashed him severely.

The accused is healing his wounds in SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack after being rescued by the police in a critical condition. After recovering, a case will be registered against him.
