Ravenshaw University takes safety measures for Divyang Students

ONI Bureau:  The Ravenshaw University authorities have taken some measures steps to ensure safety of the Divyang students.

Briefing the media persons Vice Chancellor Prof Ishan Patro said that CCTV cameras will be installed in all hostels and IP address, registration number of these cameras will be given to the wardens to check about the entry timings of the students to the rooftops.

Besides, the varsity will also form a committee that will suggest how to make the campus fit under the Right to Person with Disability Act. The special committee will be constituted to coordinate with Divyang students.

It may be mentioned that, on September 27, Kusadhar Bag, partially blind a PhD scholar of political science department of the university, had died after falling from the New Hostel building.
