SC asks Centre to form Mahanadi Tribunal in a Month

ONI Bureau:  The State government achieved a major victory in the Mahanadi crisis as the Supreme Court on Tuesday directed Centre to constitute Tribunal within a month to resolve Mahanadi water dispute between Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

Earlier this month, the Union water resources minister Nitin Gadkari requested the Odisha government to settle the dispute with Chhattisgarh through discussion and ensured Odisha’s demand of formation of tribunal will be done in next three months.
