Similipal Forest Fire: Naveen Patnaik Reviews Situation

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on Wednesday, reviewed the situation of Similipal Forest Fire. Citing that the Similipal Forest is a treasure trove of Odisha, he asked the concerned departments to take necessary action.

Additional Chief Secretary to the Government and the Department of Forests and Environment, Mona Sharma said the blaze was under control. No casualties were reported, he added.

“SOPs have been issued to control the fire and no major trees have been damaged,” the Addl Chief Secretary added.
