State Crime Branch takes up Tarabha Murder case

The State Crime Branch wing on Thursday took over the charge to probe into the Tarabha youth murder, informed by DGP KB Singh.

Earlier on Tuedaday, the State Election Commission (SEC) recommended the State Government for a Crime Branch probe into the Tarabha killing where a BJP worker Salman Rout had been shot dead by Byomkesh Biswal, an OSAP jawan in Dhenkanal district.

TheUnion Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also demanded a CBI probe into the murder case.
