Sudarsan Pattnaik wins Gold in Sand Art Contest in Bulgaria

The Internationally renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Friday from Odisha has won gold medal for people’s choice at World sand art championship held at Bulgaria for his sculpture on “Drugs Kill Sports”. The Championship had started on May 26 and continued till June 3.

10 top sculptors from different countries competed in the championship. The theme of the competition was ‘Sport World and Olympic Symbols’.

Sudarsan Pattnaik has represented India in 50 international Sand Sculpture championship and festivals all around the world and has recorded his name in the World records. He was Awarded Padma Shri in 2014.
