TOI Report: No Big Trees cut for PM’s Bolangir Visit

ONI Bureau:  The East Coast Railway spokesperson has revealed that not a single big tree was cut to make helipad for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bolangir visit today.

As per the TOI Bhubaneswar sources, around 40 shrubs and saplings were removed. However, Railway will estimate total loss of plants and replant more than two times of saplings lost.

The ECoR further stated that leaves and branches of few trees on Railway land had to be pruned to give full and proper space for helicopter movements.

Discussion was held with all concerned authorities before removal of saplings and shrubs, Railway sources claim.
