Barabati Stadium regains Test Venue status

The Barabati stadium in Cuttack regained Test venue status after 21 years. It was decided at the BCCI Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) in Mumbai today. It was informed by the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Secretary Ashirbad Behera.

Notably, after the bottle throwing incident at Barabati, the State Cricket body had face lot of criticisms and it had failed to bag a Test for the matches played during 2016-17 season.

Notably, the last Test match held at Cuttack was between India and New Zealand in November, 1995.
