Karun Nair creates History, hits 303* in Chennai Test

karun-nairRajasthan Cricketer Karun Nair becomes only 3rd Batsman in Test History, and the 1st Indian, to convert maiden Test Hundred into 300. He also became the 2nd Indian after Virender Sehwag to score a Triple Hundred in Tests. Earlier, Lokesh Rahul had narrowly missed his double hundred and was out for 199.

He remained unbeaten on 303, as India declared 1st innings at 759/7 with a lead of 282 over England. This is India’s highest ever Test score in an innings. The previous best was 726/9 against Sri Lanka.

Nair took 381 balls to score 303*. He hit 32 boundaries and 4 sixes. While Nair became the second Indian to score a triple hundred, Virender Sehwag is the other Indian to achieve this feat. Sehwag has scored two triple hundreds.
