29 Odisha Cops to get Independence Day Police Medals
ONI Bureau: Union Home Ministry announced names of 29 police personnel from Odisha to get Independence Day Police Medals this year.
From Odisha of which 14 cops will receive Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PMMS) and 4 will get President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPMDS) and 11 will get Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG).
As many as 942 personnel have been awarded Police Medals on the occasion of the Independence Day this year.
President’s Police Medal for Gallantry (PPMG) has been awarded to 02 personnel, Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) to 177 personnel, President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPMDS) to 88 personnel and Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PMMS) to 675 personnel.
