Ranji Trophy: Odisha 219/8 vs Gujarat on Day 1

Despite losing Anurag Sarangi and Niranjan Behera for no runs without board, the Odisha batsmen fought back to finish at 219/8 at stumps on Day 1 of the Ranji Trophy tie against Gujarat. Natraj Behera was the top scorer with 75.

For Odisha, Govind Podder (37), Biplab Samantray (25) and Haldhar Das (32*) were the top scorers. Das and Suryakant Pradhan are at the crease now. For Gujarat, Rush Kalaria took five wickets.

Odisha played a draw against Karnataka in the first match this season. However, they managed to get just one point, while Karnataka secured three points because of first innings lead.
