SAIL proposes to set up Medical College & Hospital in Rourkela

The Chairman of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) PK Singh on Wednesday proposed to set up a medical college and hospital in Rourkela.

Singh extended the proposal during a meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat while discussing on the upcoming plans of the public sector still giant in the State.

Singh also proposed to establish a cement industry at Purunapani in Sundargarh district, a skill development training centre and a sewerage treatment plant in  Rourkela.

The SAIL Chief  also drew Chief Minister’s attention regarding the  rehabilitation and resettlement of families displaced by the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) and Mandira dam projects.

Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan were also present in the meeting.
